To help you in learning Final Cut Pro, be sure to check out the podcasts that are available. Go to iTunes™ and in your search field put in terms like "Final Cut Help," "Final Cut Pro" or "Final Cut Studio" and you should get quite a few that give helpful information and review.
You can also download the FCP 6 manual from Apple's website which will give you a lot of information and a useful way to look things up at home.
